Is Moss haunted?
They say Savannah is truly built upon the dead. Historic Wright Square and the surrounding area is no exception. The building that Moss is located in at 137 Bull Street is one of several that was built on top of Savannah’s very first cemetery which was in use from 1733 up until about 1750. The headstones were removed but the bodies remained as progress altered the face of the Hostess City.
As a result many of these buildings claim paranormal activity. Strange happenings, eerie noises and visual anomalies are the norm in this Haunted city. 137 Bull St. has had it’s fair share of these ghostly occurrences and many claim that spirits come and go as they wish. Several investigations have taken place here involving psychics, mediums and paranormal investigators. A recent investigation for the Poltergeist 25th Anniversary Edition special features was conducted by CourtTV’s Patrick Burns and renowned psychic Reese Christian. On record to date we can claim a young sufragette named Eliza, a man with a handlebar mustache, a trio of little girls including Lily who likes to play with floral arrangements and there’s even the specter of a white cat referred to as “snowball”.
